MADISON, WI (WSAU) -  A send off ceremony for about a dozen Wisconsin National Guard team members will be held in Madison Thursday morning.

The 97th Agribusiness Development Team is a special unit of the Guard that will work with farmers and the Provincial Reconstruction Team in the Kunar province of Afghanistan. They are relieving a similar Wisconsin National Guard team from the 82nd, which will be coming home when the 97th unit arrives.

The ceremony is at 9:00 a.m. at Wisconsin’s Joint Force Headquarters. From there, the 97th ADT will go to Camp Atterbury, Indiana for several weeks of mobilization training before deploying to Afghanistan.
