Lincoln Co. confirms December heroin arrests for U.S. Marshal

by

MERRILL, WI (WSAU) -  Three women have been indicted on heroin trafficking charges in Lincoln County. Sheriff’s deputies confirmed Thursday they received the federal indictments against 32-year-old Leanna Marie Wells of Merrill, 47-year-old Jennifer Lynn Roper of Merrill, and former Merrill resident 32-year-old Rose Helen Kirmsse of Black Creek.

Officers arrested all three December 4th by Merrill Police, Lincoln County deputies, and Outagamie County deputies. All three were delivered to U.S. Marshals in Madison the next day.

The three women are facing a variety of heroin possession and distribution related charges, and each could spend up to 20 years in prison if convicted. Fines could go as high as a million dollars for each of them.

If you have any information on use, sales, or distribution of narcotics in Lincoln County you are encouraged to contact the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office at 715-536-6272 or 715-453-5747. Callers may also call Crime Stopper of Lincoln County at 715-536-3726.

Lincoln County Deputy Michael Caylor says, “There is nothing that can be found in the drug trade that is worth twenty years of your life in a prison cell.”
