MENOMONIE, WI. (UWSP)  – The UW-Stevens Point women's basketball team had one of its most proficient offensive games on its way to an 88-57 victory over UW-Stout Wednesday night. Box Score UWSP shot 59.6 percent from the field and was led by Sam Barber (Schofield, WI/D.C. Everest/Winona St.)'s 33 points, one shy of her career high. The Pointers took the 5-4 lead less than two minutes in as Brooke Allen(Barneveld, WI/Barneveld) knocked down a jumper and they never trailed again. In the first half, UWSP built its lead to as many as 17 and took a 41-28 lead into the half. The Pointers never let the Blue Devils within 11 points the entire half, building its lead to as many as 31. Josi Schultz (Eau Claire, WI/Memorial) also came up big for UWSP as she tallied 15 points and pulled down a game-high seven rebounds.

Brea Boomer led the Blue Devils with 22 points.

UWSP (12-3, 4-2 WIAC) returns to action Saturday, Jan. 12 as it host UW-La Crosse (7-8, 1-5 WIAC) on Alumni day at the Berg Gym. Action set for 5 p.m.
