MOSINEE, Wis (WSAU) Wausau Paper announced on Friday that it's looking to sell its mills in Rhinelander and Mosinee -- to focus on the more-profitable tissue-paper business. Many people in those communities are worried about the mills shutting down. There's a concern that the economy isn't strong enough to create jobs for the 400-or-so workers at each location.

Mosinee Mayor Al Erickson was disappointed. He told WSAW-TV that the latest he'd heard from Wausau Paper was that operations might be expanded at the mill.

Rhinelander Mayor Dick Johns -- who worked at his city's mill for 40 years -- hopes Wausau Paper is patient in looking for a buyer. He hopes the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation can help find new owners.

Wausau Paper also said Friday it's looking to sell one other mill in Minnesota.
