MADISON, WI (WSAU) Wisconsin men’s basketball forward Frank Kaminsky is making a slow recovery from the left eye injury he suffered when he was poked on the floor at Indiana almost two weeks ago.
Yesterday, Kaminsky took part in shooting drills at the end of practice. But the sophomore backup is not expected to play tomorrow night, when the Badgers take on 14th-ranked Ohio State in Columbus.
Associate head coach Greg Gard says the 6-11 Kaminsky is cleared for non-contact workouts – and he’s expected to have another eye appointment early this week.
Kaminsky has averaged almost five points in 17 games this season. He’s shooting 50-percent overall, and 41-percent from three-point range.
