SIGEL, WI (WTAQ) - At least two people were killed overnight in a house fire in central Wisconsin.
The blaze was reported around 2:30 a.m. in the town of Sigel, north of Wisconsin Rapids.
Wood County Sheriff Thomas Reichert said the fire has been put out, but a search was continuing at mid-morning for other victims.
The home was engulfed in flames when first responders arrived.
Seven fire departments went to the scene, along with sheriff’s deputies and members of the Wood County Fire Investigation Task Force.
