Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Samuel L. Jackson and Kerry Washington and Tarantino signed the autographed film slate and handed it to Gudmundur Felix when they heard of his ongoing fundraising efforts.

The one-of-a-kind clapperboard went under the hammer on auction website eBay.com and pulled in $4,250 (£2,700) for Felix, who is moving from Icleand to France in March (13) to await the operation.

Foxx took to his Twitter.com page to share news of the sale, writing, ""Glad I could help out.""

Felix's story is being recorded by a film crew for a documentary entitled New Hands, set for release next year (14).
