Powerball jackpot keeps growing, up to $176M for Saturday

MADISON, WI (WTAQ) - The first big Powerball jackpot of the New Year keeps growing.

Nobody won the top prize Wednesday night, so it grew to $176 million for Saturday. Nobody from Wisconsin won the second and third prizes Wednesday evening.

Five players won $200 each by buying the Power Play option and matching either four regular numbers or three plus the Powerball.

Almost 12,000 tickets in the Badger State won smaller prizes. The numbers were 14, 16, 32, 47, and 52. The Powerball was 16.

The current jackpot has been building since December 29th, and it has rolled over 10 times.

Saturday’s cash option is just under $112 million for a single winner who takes the whole prize now instead of in 30 annual installments.

In Mega Millions, the jackpot stands at $13 million for Friday night.
