STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU)  -  Liz Althoff (Darien, WI/Clinton) scored a team-high 15 points Wednesday evening as the UW-Stevens Point women's basketball team cruised past the Pioneers of UW-Platteville, 79-60.  Box Score The Pointers dominated the entire game, allowing the Pioneers to lead for just 45 seconds in the first half. UWSP built its lead to as many as 20 in the opening half and took a 45-25 lead into the break. UW-Platteville came no closer than 16 points in the second half, trailing by as many as 25 points down the stretch. Althoff went 3-for-4 from beyond the arc and 4-for-4 from the charity stripe in the win. Sam Barber (Schofield, WI/D.C. Everest/Winona St.) also reached double-figures as she posted 13 points and pulled down a game-high seven rebounds.  Both Alyssa Krajco and McKenzie Forseth scored 16 points for Platteville. The Pointer women will travel to UW-La Crosse on Saturday evening to take on the Eagles at 5 p.m.
