LAS VEGAS, NV (LEARFIELD-WSAU)The Milwaukee Bucks improved to 2-and-0 in the N-B-A Summer League with a 69-to-61 win over New Orleans yesterday. The game was tied at the break, and the Bucks out-scored the Pelicans 42-to-34 in the second half.
The Bucks shot 50-percent – and they shot 26 free throws, twice as many as New Orleans. Dominique Jones led the Bucks with 16 points, four rebounds, and two assists. He scored 11 in the fourth quarter, including six from the line.
Second-year Bucks’ forward John Henson did not play. He hurt his right groin at practice late last week, and was held out as a precaution. Brian Roberts scored 20 for the Pelicans, who dropped to 1-and-1.
The Bucks are off today, and will play Golden State tomorrow.
