WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) - The wife of the former high school coach acquitted of sexual assault was in court Thursday. 57-year-old Constance McKellips is the wife of Rory McKellips, the former Athens and Mosinee girls basketball coach. Prosecutors believe the husband and wife committed perjury by lying on the witness stand during his recent trial.
Constance McKellips was released on a $2,500 bond after making an initial appearance. Prosecutors say she didn’t tell the truth about her husband’s personal grooming habits, which contradicted the testimony of the victim.
Rory McKellips was acquitted of sexually assaulting his former basketball player, but was found guilty of using a computer to commit a sex crime because he had inappropriate photos on his cellphone.
