MAUSTON, WI (WSAU) - The man accused of shooting his ex-girlfriend to death last week behind a Mauston bar was going to ask for a smaller bond Thursday, but didn’t.
30-year-old Cody Treul was prepared to file a motion to reduce his 2-million dollar bond, but attorney David Geraghty withdrew the motion with no discussion.
Treul allegedly shot ex-girlfriend, 29-year-old Gail Howland of Mauston to death, and injured 23-year-old Ebony Lasher of Mauston behind PJ’s Bar last Friday, May 31st.
Cody Treul made Thursday’s court appearance by video from the Juneau County Jail. His next court date is the initial appearance on the charges set for June 19th at 9:00 a.m.
