MERRILL, WI (WSAU) - A Gleason area man wanted by police since 2011 managed to escape during an attempt to arrest him Friday night. A Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputy on patrol spotted 49-year-old Timothy Lee Tutor outside of a residence on Highway 17 near county Highway X just before 8:30 p.m. The deputy knew Tutor was wanted by Department of Corrections staff, but Tutor fled on foot before the deputy could arrest him.
The K9 unit from Tomahawk assisted, but the dog lost the scent. Officers believe two Gleason residents either harbored or assisted Tutor.
Timothy Lee Tutor has been wanted by probation agents since he absconded in August of 2011. He’s wanted for multiple counts of failing to provide child support. Tutor is 5’8, weighs 150 pounds and has blonde hair and blue eyes.
