MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU) - Marshfield’s School Board has approved 2% pay raises for members of the district’s administrative staff.
Following a recent announcement that the district was anticipating a $1.1 million-dollar deficit, superintendent Peg Geegan said the raise was needed to “align” the salaries following the implementation of Act 10.
Citing an open records media request, board president Marlene Stuland said more details of an audit regarding a recent overpayment of $17,909 to the district’s superintendent will be released to the public soon. Board members Mark Konrady and Randell Kruger voted against the pay raises, with Konrady saying that some of those “cost of living” increases were new hires.
The measure barely passed by a vote of three to two.
