Wisconsin contestants eliminated early in Miss USA pagaent

UNDATED (WSAU-Wheeler News)  Neither of Wisconsin’s two candidates made the Top-15 at the Miss U-S-A Pageant in Las Vegas. Christine Zamora of Greenfield represented Wisconsin last night.

U-W Stout student Danielle Hooper of suburban Saint Paul was Miss Minnesota U-S-A. Hooper will be a senior this fall in Menomonie, majoring in management and retail merchandising. Zamora is now a client specialist at Milwaukee’s O-C Tanner Company.

Erin Brady, an accountant from Connecticut, won the crown and will be the nation’s representative in the Miss Universe pageant. Mary Margaret McCord, Miss Alabama U-S-A, was named the first runner-up. Brady replaces Nana Meriwether, who became the Miss U-S-A after Olivia Culpo won last year’s Miss Universe title.
