WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. (WSAU) -- An 8-month-old boy’s mother has been found guilty of felony child neglect. As part of a plea deal, 20-year-old Kurstyn Bieneman of Racine entered a no contest plea and the more serious child abuse causing great bodily harm was dismissed.

The Racine mother was accused of causing harm to the child at the home of 27-year-old Robert Winkler in Nekoosa. Winkler was also charged in this incident.

The child’s grandmother discovered the child’s bruises and took him to the hospital where doctors confirmed he had a fractured wrist, ribs, legs, and ankles.

Winkler told investigators that Bieneman was physically rough with the child.  Bieneman told investigators that Winkler violently shook the child.Winkler will have a trial starting August 14th. Bieneman will be sentenced by Judge Gregory Potter in the near future.
