MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU) - The State Assembly may be asking for your help with “Right the Rules,” a extensive review of Wisconsin’s almost 12,000 pages of rules and regulations.
Representative John Spiros says Assembly members may be asking for feedback from many areas of the private sector, which has the best insight about how laws affect their particular industry. “One of the things I’ve done is go out to a number of businesses that are here in the area, in the district, and ask them to help take a look at the code,” Spiros said on Monday. According to Spiros, the goal is to eliminate regulations that restrict job growth and aren’t essential to public or environmental protection.
This is believed to be the first such regulatory review of this scope in Wisconsin’s history.
