WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) One of the men involved in robberies of two local taverns reached a plea deal on Friday. 26 year old Mariano Valera was found guilty of two counts of armed robbery and could be sentenced up to 80 years in prison and face up to $200,000 in fines.
He was one of two men who robbed Cliffhangers bar in Schofield and Piggys Pub in Marathon in November of 2011. His partner in the crimes, 28 year old Brandon Richter was found guilty back in December and will be sentenced on Monday.
Both men are being held in the Marathon County Jail
