WAUSAU, Wis (WSAU)  A 15-year-old boy says he was the victim of an armed robbery attempt in Wausau on Friday afternoon. Police are investigating. There are no eye-witnesses, although a surveillance tape from a nearby business is being reviewed.

Here's what happened: the boy says he was walking along 2nd Street near the 400 block when a man came up behind him wearing a ski-mask. The suspect had a knife. He demanded the boy's wallet. When the victim said he didn't have a wallet, he was pushed to the ground as the suspect ran off.

Police say the incident happened around 4-15 in the afternoon. Anyone with information should call Wausau P.D. At 715-261-7800.
