WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) - An arrest was made in Wausau Tuesday when drugs and money were found at an apartment. Wausau Police executed a warrant at 501 McIndoe Street, and have arrested Quo Vadis Lewis with possession of heroin with intent to deliver and maintaining a drug trafficking place.
Marathon County Lieutenant Gary Schneck says this person is well known to law enforcement and has past convictions for the same crimes. "We've had him arrested in the past. He was out on parole, and he was in custody before for drug trafficking violations.”
Schneck says the Special Investigations Unit has been focusing on Lewis’ activities for a while. "We knew about Mr. Lewis' activities for some time, and officers from the Patrol Division of the Wausau Police Department and the Sheriff's Department Special Investigations Unit opened an investigation. We were able to investigate enough to get a search warrant for the apartment."Investigators say they confiscated enough heroin to make about 170 street sales worth between $8,500 and $10,000.
Lewis has an initial appearance in court today.
