WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (WSAU) - The Adams County deputy sheriff that was shot in the line of duty last month is getting some recognition and support from Mid-State Technical College students. MSTC’s Correctional Club has students in law enforcement training. They are offering a star-shaped key chain in honor of Deputy Todd Johnson, with donations going towards his care and recovery.
Johnson was responding with another officer to a Town of Big Flats residence when the occupant shot at the officers before killing himself. Officer Johnson is now home recovering.
