UNDATED (WSAU) The Minnesota man accused of killing his wife from Central Wisconsin wants his bond lowered. Jeffrey Trevino appeared in court yesterday.

Prosecutors say Trevino is a flight risk. They say a phone call that was monitored from jail raises concerns. Trevino called his parents and asked them to locate his passport. He also advised them not to put their house up as collateral against his bond. The judge refused to lower the $1-million bond. Trevino has been unable to post it, and is awaiting trail in the Ramsey County jail. He'll be back in court March 29th.

Trevino is accused of killing Kira Steger Trevino. She was last seen in late February and is presumed dead even though the body hasn't been found. Police searched the family home and found traces of blood in the basement and in the trunk of a car. Investigators say Kira was making plans to leave her husband.
