UNDATED (WRN) April showers, we’re told, bring May flowers. Of course it has to stop snowing first. It’s the first day of May, but that doesn’t necessarily mean we’ve seen the last of wintry weather in Wisconsin.
The National Weather Service in Duluth is forecasting some significant snowfall amounts across Northwest Wisconsin, from Wednesday evening through Thursday. Some locations, including Ashland, Park Falls, Hayward, Spooner and Hurley could see accumulations of six or more inches. A winter storm watch in effect for Douglas, Bayfield, Ashland, Iron, Burnett, Washburn, Sawyer and Price counties.
