ROTHSCHILD, WI (WSAU) - Delegates from all 72 counties, elected leaders, and prominent Republicans are in the Wausau area for their state convention.
Friday night featured social events and a reception, but it’s down to business Saturday. Resolutions from the counties will be voted on, and the party will discuss their political future and strategy.
Most of the convention is filled with meetings and sessions that are not open to the public, but the media will be allowed into Saturday morning’s session, which features speeches from Governor Scott Walker, National Party Chairman Reince Priebus who used to lead the Wisconsin party, Senator Ron Johnson, and Congressman Paul Ryan. 7th District Congressman Sean Duffy and Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen are also scheduled to speak.
