Inattentive driving blamed for crash which seriously injures 9 people

PIGEON, WI (WTAQ) - The Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Department says inattentive driving is to blame for an accident Friday night which left nine people with life-threatening injuries.

A car traveling on Highway 53-121 at about 10:20 p.m. ran into the back of an Amish buggy.

David and Lydia Wengerd and seven children were injured severely.

The 19-year-old driver of the motor vehicle wasn’t injured.

The accident happened near Pigeon Falls in western Wisconsin.
