House votes to repeal Obamacare again

US Capitol

WASHINGTON, D.C.  (Metro News) -  House Republicans continue trying to get rid of the landmark healthcare reform law.  On a split, partisan vote, the House has voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act.

In the past couple of years, House Republicans have voted more than 35 times to repeal or defund all or parts of the law.  The sweeping law has been upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court but Republicans said it is actually driving up healthcare costs and costing jobs.

Democrats scoffed at the latest repeal attempt, calling it a waste of legislative time and energy.  The latest repeal effort is expected to go nowhere in the Democratic-led Senate.
