SEATTLE, WI (LEARFIELD-WSAU) Former Wisconsin offensive lineman Jake Bscherer (buh’-sheer) will get a chance to play in the N-F-L for Seattle. He’s been offered a contract by the Seahawks, after he took part in the Seattle and Minnesota rookie camps earlier this month.
The 6-7, 305-pound Bscherer is a native of Sturgeon Bay. He’ll travel to the Pacific Northwest on Monday – and if he passes a physical on Tuesday, he’ll join the Seahawks in their organized team activities.
Bscherer helped Sturgeon Bay High School win a state title in 2004, and was named the state’s Gatorade Player-of-the-Year in ’05. He later played 37 games for the Badgers. Last fall, he wrapped up his college eligibility at Minnesota-Duluth.
