URGENT: Video shows beheading of second American journalist

DUBAI (Reuters) - The Islamic State militant group released a video purporting to show the beheading of U.S. hostage Steven Sotloff, the SITE monitoring service reported on Tuesday. A masked figure in the video also issued a threat against a British hostage, a man the group named as David Haines, and warned governments to back off "this evil alliance of America against the Islamic State", the monitoring service said. Finley & Barrington On IR, Sherrod Back On Roster

GREEN BAY, WI (LEARFIELD-WSAU) Packers' tight end Jermichael Finley was placed on season-ending injured reserve yesterday, after he bruised his spinal cord on October 20th against Cleveland.  He was motionless for six minutes after he caught a pass and was hit in the helmet by a defender's charging shoulder.

Coach Mike McCarthy said Finley would play tomorrow if it were up to him -- but the coach said all the medical documents he received showed that Finley should wait at least until next year.  He's a free agent at the end of the season.

Also, Packers' inside linebacker Sam Barrington was placed on the I-R with a bad hamstring he hurt Monday night.

Guard T-J Lang remains out with a concussion suffered against the Bears.  When he left, right tackle Don Barclay moved inside to Lang's right guard spot, and Marshall Newhouse was plugged in at right tackle.

2011 #1 pick Derrick Sherrod was put back on the regualr roster. He's been out with a broken leg.
