MADISON, Wis. (WSAU-Wheeler News) -- Enbridge Energy officials say they have filed a proposal with regulators for a pipeline thru Wisconsin.
The estimated two-point-six billion dollar pipeline would carry crude oil from the Bakken oil fields of North Dakota to a Superior terminal. The proposed route would follow existing routes, according to a company official.
The Public Utilities Commission will have to approve the proposal, which includes public meetings and hearings. Enbridge hopes to begin construction by late 2014-early 2015.
