AMHERST, Wis. (WSAU) -- A Stevens Point man is facing charges after allegedly fighting with a woman and pushing her out of a moving vehicle. 32-year-old Ryan Wojtalewicz is accused of getting into an argument with the woman while driving from Amherst to Stevens Point October 21st. The complaint says he hit her several times in the vehicle, then shoved her out of the moving vehicle on Amber Avenue in Stevens Point.
The woman received several bruises and scrapes. The woman was assisted by a couple that was following them on Amber Avenue, who stopped and called police. Police arrested Wojtalewicz at his Illinois Avenue residence a short time later.
Wojtalewicz is currently free on a $2,500 cash bond. He is charged with second degree recklessly endangering safety, reckless driving, battery, and disorderly conduct. His initial appearance before judge Thomas Eagon will be at 1:30 next Monday, November 18th.
