Roger Jamgochian, the long time owner of the Hiawatha Bar & Resturant in Wausau, passed away on Friday at the age of 65. He had been battling cancer.
Jamgochian came to Wausau from Brooklyn New York in the 70's and never lost his Brooklyn accent as he made the Hiawatha one of the most popular Wausau eateries. It became most well known for it's Friday fish fry.
Roger's children will continue to operate the Hiawatha. No funeral arrangements have been announced as of now.
