MENOMONIE, Wis. (WSAU) -- Another deer hunter has been shot by a member of his own hunting party. This time, the incident happened in Dunn County near Boyceville. 52-year-old Brian Kohnke was taking part in a deer drive Thanksgiving morning.

Kohnke was one of five hunters waiting at the end of the drive zone while about fifteen others drove the woods. One of the driving hunters fired a round, which hit Kohnke in the stomach.

Kohnke was flown to a St. Paul Minnesota hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

Another hunter was shot by a member of his own hunting party Wednesday in Pierce County. 45-year-old Tad Eggenberger of rural Ellsworth was shot in his lower waist by a stray bullet from another hunter in his party. He is being treated at Regions Hospital in St. Paul Minnesota
