MOSINEE, Wis. (WSAU) - A Monday afternoon incident that allegedly involved a man pointing a gun at another man in Mosinee remains under investigation.

Mosinee Police Chief Kenneth Muelling says there are several things about the report that they are continuing to look into. “We’re currently investigating the incident. We have some further questions that we need to ask of the reporting party, but at this time, we don’t really have too much information to release concerning the incident.”

Muelling says they really need to talk to the complainant again, but they have been unable to locate him.

The chief says whatever happened on Western Avenue Monday near the Family Dollar parking lot shortly after three o’clock is still unclear, but he’s glad nobody was hurt. “Nobody was hurt, and we do not have any further information to put out concerning any suspects to watch for at this point in time.”

Anyone with additional information about the alleged gunman & the victim is encouraged to contact Mosinee Police at (715) 693-2000.
