KENOSHA, WI (WTAQ) - Buying items from a major online retailer will soon cost Wisconsin customers a little more money.

Amazon plans to build a distribution center in Kenosha next year, which means the company will have to start collecting sales tax on orders from customers in the state.

Department of Revenue spokeswoman Laurel Patrick says businesses that don't have an in-state location currently don't have to collect those taxes from customers.

Amazon will start collecting taxes on bills starting November first.
