MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WSAU) - The Milwaukee Bucks didn’t lose their final preseason game. They didn’t win it either. The 37th annual MACC Fund Game, which is one of the longest running charity NBA games was called off with 5:58 on the clock in the first period for safety reasons.
Several players were slipping and falling down on the new Bucks basketball court. The Toronto Raptors went to the locker room when the game was halted. Bucks players hung around a while, but left when the game was cancelled.
Fans at the game can redeem their ticket stubs for a regular season game in November. Those fans also had an opportunity to come down and shoot free throws on the new court. No word if any of them fell down, too.
Milwaukee Bucks officials say the MACC Fund would not lose money because of the cancellation.
The Bucks were leading the Raptors 14-9 when the game was stopped.
