ATLANTA, GA (WSAU-TSN) - Kyle Lohse tossed an two-hit shutout and Norichika Aoki finished with three hits and two RBI as Milwaukee dumped Atlanta, 4-0, in the rubber match of a three-game series.

Lohse (11-10) surrendered singles to Andrelton Simmons in the bottom of the first and Evan Gattis in the seventh en route to his second complete game in his last three starts.

Carlos Gomez homered and Sean Halton drove in the other run for the Brewers, who blanked Atlanta three times in only six meetings this season.

Paul Maholm (10-11) allowed eight hits and three runs over seven full frames for the Braves, who dropped a half-game behind St. Louis for the best record in the National League.

The Cardinals beat Washington earlier on Wednesday. Both teams have three games remaining.
