WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) - The Wausau woman accused of embezzling from her employer to help pay for a previous embezzlement penalty is set for a plea hearing November 26th.
59-year-old Susan Adams is accused of writing checks to herself and misappropriating funds from company credit cards during her time working for the Hess, Dexter, Reinertson, and Brunner Law firm.
Adams was convicted of taking over 119-thousand dollars from the former M&I Bank back in 1994, and ordered to pay restitution.
The plea hearing is before Judge Ann Knox-Bauer in Marathon County Circuit Court. If a plea deal is worked out, Adams may possibly be sentenced that same day. If convicted on every charge, Adams could be sent to prison for 45 years.
