WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) -- A Chicago man placed on a signature bond in a Wausau sex sting didn't even manage to offer his signature, and now faces more court trouble.
37-year-old Peter Gomez faced a misdemeanor count of soliciting a prostitute. He was put on a signature bond in the case back in February but never actually signed the bond before leaving court. A bench warrant was issued in March but was quashed on Wednesday after Gomez's attorney showed up in court to argue his case. Gomez may still be liable for bond forfeiture.
Gomez was caught back in January when a pair of Wausau police posed as prostitutes in an online sting.
A jury trial in the case is currently set for May 8th.
