Official: Baldwin woman died from drowning in western Wisconsin lake

HAMMOND, WI (WTAQ) - A woman whose body was found in a western Wisconsin lake died from drowning.  

That's what a medical examiner in St. Paul said Tuesday about 38-year-old Kristelle Wolle of Baldwin.

St. Croix County sheriff's deputies were called to a traffic crash early Sunday near Hammond. They found the car with nobody in it.  

Rescuers then searched the area and found Wolle's body in Pine Lake. Her blood alcohol level was 0.21, more than two-and-a-half times the legal limit for drunk driving.
