Packers roll over Raiders, 31-21 Friday

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WSAU) -- The Packers had no trouble winning their third preseason game at home against the Oakland Raiders, 31-21 Friday night.

Starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers and the rest of the first string played nearly all of the first half. Rodgers went 9 of 20 for 139 yards with two touchdowns. The Packers had three first half touchdowns thanks to catches by Andrew Quarless and Jordy Nelson, and a run from Eddie Lacy. Lacy only played one series, but it was nearly perfect.

Defensively, the Packers dominated. Julius Peppers and Clay Matthews both had success putting pressure on the Raiders’ quarterback Matt Schaub. Peppers also made his first sack as a Packer. Nick Perry also made a great play with a sack forcing a fumble.

Mike McCarthy called for three two-point conversions, and succeeded twice. Mason Crosby made a field goal from 41 yards and missed another try from 53 yards out.
