MADISON, WI (WTAQ) - Wisconsin's newly extended mourning dove hunting season will begin on Labor Day.
Officials agreed to let hunters shoot the cooing doves from September first through November 29th. That's 20 days longer than in the past.
The DNR says Monday is also the start of the early teal and goose hunts. The early teal season will run through September 7th.
The early goose hunt goes through September 15th.
