SAN FRANCISCO, CA (LEARFIELD-WSAU) The Milwaukee Brewers will try to end a two-game losing streak tonight when they play the Giants in San Francisco. The Crew still has a one-and-a-half game division lead over second-place Saint Louis in the National League Central. Third-place Pittsburgh is four games back, after winning two games apiece over the Brewers and Cardinals in their last two series.
The top three Central contenders were all off yesterday. Fourth-place Cincinnati beat the Chicago Cubs 7-to-2 and moved within eight-and-a-half games of the lead.
The Brewers will now play three games against a Giants' team that's second in the National League West at 71-and-62. San Francisco is four-and-a-half games behind division-leading Los Angeles.
The Giants have won three in a row, after topping Colorado 4-to-1 at home last night. Right-hander Wily Peralta will start for Milwaukee tonight against San Francisco right-hander Ryan Vogelsong.
