UNDATED (WSAU) -- The severe weather that passed through central and northcentral Wisconsin Friday evening has changed some schedules for high school football games.
The Wausau East game at Marshfield game was in a lighting delay shortly after the pregame warmups began. A short time later, a major storm cell dumped rain in the Marshfield area, prompting officials to postpone the game until Noon Saturday. Other games moved to Saturday incluse Athens vs Wausau Newman at Stiehm Stadium , Stratford and Colby will kickoff at 1:00 p.m. and the Medford game at Chippewa Falls will have a 1:30 kickoff.
The DC Everest game against Wisconsin Rapids will be finished Saturday. The game will resume at the start of the 3rd quarter in Wisconsin Rapids starting at 11:30 a.m. Wausau West was trailing Stevens Point 14-10 with less than 4 minutes to play when the game was halted by lightning. They will finish up today at 10 am.
We will have the Wausau East/Marshfield game at noon followed by the conclusion of the DCE/Rapids game on Foxsports Radio AM1390 & FM 93.9.
