ABBOTSFORD, Wis. (WSAU) -- More details are known about an Abbotsford school teacher’s alleged misconduct charges.
A criminal complaint filed in Clark County circuit court claims 25-year-old Andy Follen had a sexual relationship with two 17-year-old students this past October. The complaint says one of the two victims is a volleyball player that claims she had sex with Follen in his classroom during a Saturday basketball tournament.
Text messages were intercepted by one of the victim’s parents, and that parent contacted the Abbotsford School District. The school immediately contacted the Colby-Abbotsford Police Department.
Police are continuing to investigate other messages from Follen’s phone, in search of additional instances or other victims.
Follen was in court Monday and posted $2,500 cash bond. The court ordered him to stay off school property and away from the alleged victims. Follen will be back in court for the initial appearance March 6th. If convicted, he could spend 30 years in prison.
