(WNFL)- With 11 losses, an N-C-A-A Tournament bid might be a pipe dream for the Marquette men's basketball team. But after winning four-of-their-last-five, the Golden Eagles are not counting themselves out just yet. Marquette hosts Georgetown tonight -- and a win would move the Eagles into a third-place tie with Xavier in the Big East Conference. Marquette is 8-and-6 in conference play, and 16-and-11 overall. Georgetown is 7-and-8 in the league, and is also 16-and-11 overall. Point guard Derrick Wilson says Marquette's tournament destiny is in its hands. With victories in their final four regular season games, Marquette players-and-coaches are certain that the N-C-A-A selection committee will at least think about the Eagles making the Field-of-68. Coach Buzz Williams says the key is to keep improving -- and only control what they can. Also tonight, the U-W Milwaukee men will play their regular season finale Detroit. The Green Bay men are at Oakland.
