WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) -- The man charged with shooting a Wausau man outside of a bar has pled not guilty. 31-year-old John Lewis faces 25 separate felony charges, with the most serious being first degree homicide for causing the death of KC Christopher Elliot in January.
Lewis was in court Monday where he entered the pleas. He remains in jail on a one million dollar cash bond.
Investigators say Lewis and Elliot had an argument about money when Elliot fired the shot January 3rd outside of the Sidetracked Bar in Wausau. He was about three feet away from Elliot. Elliot died several hours later at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
So far, no new court dates have been set for Lewis.
