RHINELANDER, Wis. (WSAU) -- Sunday’s stormy weather in the northwoods left several people without electricity.

Wisconsin Public Service crews were called out to several areas, with over 15,000 customers knocked out by the storms. Several trees were blown into power lines.

There were scattered outages in the Schofield and Wausau areas, but far more to the north, where over 1,500 in the Boulder Junction area, 3,400 in Rhinelander, and 2,300 in the Sayner area lost electricity. There were also several outages in the St. Germain, Eagle River, Tomahawk, Lac du Flambeau, and Arbor Vitae areas. As of 3am the number of outages has been reduced to about 3,000.
