CINCINNATI, OH (WSAU) — After getting swept by the Chicago Cubs over the weekend the Brew Crew did a little sweeping of their own, finishing off a three game series sweep of the Reds on Wednesday night, 3-1.
The Brewers scattered 12 hits throughout the evening, including four players getting two hits. Christian Yelich provided the big blast, hitting his third home run of the season in the fifth inning.
Wade Miley provided a quality start in his Brewers debut, pitching six innings, allowing just one run, walking three, and striking out four. Jeremy Jeffress came on and pitched the final two innings to earn his second straight save.
Milwaukee is off on Thursday as they’ll be traveling back home after a nine game road trip. They’ll return to action on Friday night when they welcome the Pittsburgh Pirates to Miller Park for a three game weekend series.
