STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WSAU) -- Bond has been set for a Stevens Point man accused of burning down the apartment he lived in.
39-year-old Roy Strait is being held in the Portage County jail on a $100,000 cash bond. Police say he poured gasoline inside his apartment and lit it on fire early Tuesday morning. No one was hurt in the fire, but there were two people inside the apartment at the time of the blaze.
Prosecutors say Strait has been talking with the police and reportedly said he wanted to go back to prison.
He'll be back for another court date and formal charges on arson and recklessly endangering safety March 24.
