MERRILL, Wis. (WSAU) -- A traffic stop turned into a drug bust in Merrill. 28-year-old Timothy Lemke was stopped a week ago for driving over the center line and having a defective brake light.
Officers could see that Lemke’s cell phone battery had been removed, which prompted them to check the phone. They found four grams of methamphetamine wrapped in a plastic bag, and stashed in the phone’s battery compartment.
Lemke was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver and is free on a $2,000 signature bond.
